The process started back in late October (yes, October!) I thought I knew what I wanted, but I was totally unfamiliar with the process. Given my very detailed ideas, the design company suggested I go the route of an illustration.
But round after round of revisions… it just wasn’t wow-ing me. It was the end of January when I finally decided that what I was seeing in my head was not translating well on paper, er, digitally. So I scrapped it and went a completely different direction.
Instead of an illustration, I went with photo manipulation and digital painting. I ditched the object-based design ideas and opted for character based (WHAT?!). Yup. And get this. I wanted them to come up with their own idea. Whoa.
Turns out, it was a good move. And it’s done. And I love it.
